LEVEL 3
Write factual accounts, and express personal viewpoints, in a range of
authentic contexts, sequencing ideas logically.
Key Indicators
Students will be able to:
- Write a factual account in logical sequence.
- Use the library to locate a range of information that is useful, using key
words, contents and an index.
- Locate, with assistance, information from a variety of sources including
the Internet ie bookmarked web sites.
- Note-take, organise notes and write up information in their own words
using headings and sub-headings.
- Organise notes under headings, identify and use sub-headings with teacher
support.
LEVEL 4
Write factual accounts, and express and explain a point of view, in a range
of authentic contexts, organising and linking ideas logically and making
language choices appropriate to the audience.
Key Indicators
Students will be able to:
- Write a factual account, organising and linking ideas using a variety of
language choices.
- Use the library effectively to locate a range of information, using key
words, contents and an index.
- Confidently locate relevant material using the Internet ie bookmarked web
sites.
- Note-take, organise notes and write up information in their own words
using headings and sub-headings.
