The Five Ws:
and the H
are, so the story goes, commonly taught to budding journalists to ensure
that they don't leave out any questions when conducting interviews and
writing up their stories.
The 5Ws & one H often provides a sound structure for students to apply as
they investigate a topic.
More often than not however one or more of the Ws or the H don't quite fit
the study so... don't force it.
Use the basic set of question stems as a starting point only and adapt it as
appropriate. Be flexible!
