Sharing findings with people in the community
Suggestions...
- Put the presentations on in a park, at a local museum, in an old
people's home, for a community group, eg. Probus Club, Rotary Club.
- Invite parents and community members to a special class or school
assembly.
- Have a school open afternoon/evening/day where parents and community
members can wander round viewing all the work and findings
on the Hillary Challenge, perhaps finishing with some live presentations.
- Present students' work to another class in another school, or
invite another class or school to their presentations.
- Set up the computer lab with all the students' ICT presentations and
invite parents and community members to come and have fun
in the lab for the day exploring all their work - with
some student facilitators of course!
- Put students' presentations, eg. slideshow or web pages, on to the school
web site and advertise this in the school newsletter. Encourage students
to email the URL to distant family members, eg. grandparents.
