TASKS:

One task to do before you make it to Camp V.

Consider:

  1. What was it about Sir Edmund Hillary that he seemed to acquire several leadership roles at different stages of the ascent?

  2. Who was the leader of the expedition and how did Sir Edmund Hillary become part of the team for the final climb to the summit? Why was he chosen?

  3. What are some of the feelings he might experience
    • when he had to rest?
    • when his friends were having difficulty?
    • when he was chosen?

  4. What does endurance mean? What is the relationship between "endurance" and the weather at this stage of the ascent?

Visually depict the team members and their interactions at this stage of the ascent.
