FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT
"Inquiry: Views of New Zealanders on our involvement in international affairs."

Teacher Guidelines:
The following guidelines are supplied to enable teachers to carry out valid and consistent assessment using this internal assessment resource.

Context/setting:
Views of New Zealanders on our involvement in international affairs.

Teachers are directed to Explanatory Notes 1, 2 and 3 in the achievement standard.

Conditions:

  • Inquiry to be completed individually.
  • Time allowance: 1 week of supervised in-class time, and 2 weeks of out of class time, including library, ICT, homework.
  • Teacher will need to schedule regular progress checks, and take a facilitating role.
  • Students should use the provided templates for developing their inquiry framework.

Resource requirements

  • Multiple copies of framework template for student use
  • Access to a library and IT
  • Access to respondents if required.
