Steps:
- Identify the key stages in the research process.
- Organise the events into the correct sequence.
- Count the number of stages and consider
which type of flow chart will work best.
- Allow sufficient space between the stages to draw linking arrows.
- Write a brief summary of each stage and add the linking arrows.
- Give the completed flow chart an appropriate title.
The flow chart establishes an appropriate
framework for the inquiry.
- Identify the question (or establish an hypothesis).
- Identify what data has to be collected.
- Set up appropriate data collection methods.
- Collect and record data from primary and secondary sources.
- Organise data.
- Communicate findings.
- Evaluate results and process.
