Develop a framework for the Inquiry:
- identify a focus for the Inquiry (may be provided by the teacher or
selected by the student);
- develop research questions and/or appropriate data gathering questions;
- check out any ethical procedures applicable to the inquiry;
- decide on appropriate methodology for information collection, recording
and processing;
- decide on appropriate mode for communicating information;
- identify possible primary and/or secondary sources;
- plan strategies for dealing with problems or issues that might arise;
- decide on time management strategies.
Start Inquiring:
- collect and record information;
- organise and process the information;
- communicate the information using appropriate conventions;
- draw conclusions that relate to significant ideas about society.
Evaluate:
- evaluate the inquiry process which, could include checking for:
- accuracy
- relevance
- sufficiency
- significance
- identify areas for improvement/extension/follow up.
