This assessment task examines how people participate in society by
organising themselves to put pressure on institutions such as the Government
to honour the Treaty of Waitangi.
You have two weeks of class and homework time to complete your Inquiry.
You must prepare a formal Report that:
- Explains how your group participated in protest action, or made a claim
to the Waitangi Tribunal.
- Explains why your group participated in protest action, or made a claim
to the Waitangi Tribunal.
- Explains how your group's actions affected themselves and/or the
Government and/or New Zealand society.
- Describes the Government or Tribunal responses to your group's actions
and suggests why they responded as they did.
- Describes how other people responded to your group's actions and suggests
reasons for these responses.
- Uses supporting evidence and examples.
