Link 3Plus-U: Rights at Work
This high tech digital site looks covers 2 areas for social studies teachers - human rights and work. It is a unique examination at a global level of the rights people have in the workplace. It uses stories, quizzes, challenges and animation to look at how the world of work affects everyone. Very appealing to students.

Link Consumer Jungle
An interactive site to develop consumer awareness. The topics have been chosen with students' interests in mind and include the use and abuse of credit, choosing a card wisely, dangers and downfalls of credit, rights, and resources; how to buy finance and maintain a car; how to buy, sell, navigate, and communicate online safely and efficiently; cost-of-living reality check, budgeting, apartment rental agreements, landlord-tenant rights, utilities; and how to choose the best telephone or Internet plan, consumer rights, and resources.

Whaling has a long history in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Whales were (and still are) an important resource for Maori, and for early Pakeha settlers.
