Link Maori Independence Site
A valuable site for senior Social Studies students as it not only presents a Maori perspective, it also provides a rich resource for Values Exploration and Social Decision Making.

This sites provides a number of sites that are relevant to Maori culture and heritage. Check out the Virtual Whare and the detailed section on Maori protocol and tikanga (customs)
There are some good visual resources on the slide show (birds, weapons etc) and on Myths and legends. At the very bottom of the webpage, there are links to other sites.

Link The New Zealand Maori Internet weblinks
Another portal site with categories such as culture, education and business. Some great finds on this site and useful for all levels. Five web-bases Maori dictionaries are found at the end.

Link Te Tomokanga: the portal
This is a huge portal site that is well worth starting at if you are doing research on any issue relating to Maori. They have links for all major Maori magazines and e-zines and history links for events and general history. It is a vibrant site set against a black background. A good range of links for Maori music and art.
