A mind map can be a way of organizing the ideas in a brainstorm and showing
the links between them.
Put the key idea in the middle as if you were drawing a star diagram.
Draw branches off the main idea and on them write related ideas.
Draw further branches off these, covering sub-topics and then add further
details or sub-topics as suits.
You now have a clear and simple summary of the topic.
