A long thin country bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountains. The north is very dry and sub-tropical and this is where most of the nation's mineral wealth is found. The Central region is temperate and is where most of the agricultural production takes place. The southern third is cold and rugged. This is the main area for forestry.
