Numbered Heads is a co-operative learning activity consisting of four steps.
  1. Students number off (in this case 1 to 4)

  2. Teacher announces task and time limit

  3. Students put heads together, do the activity and ensure the whole group completes the task

  4. Teacher calls a number and that person from each group shares their answer with the class

This idea works well with students from year 1 to 13.
