Children are in partners, shoulder to shoulder, with a clipboard between
them. The first child writes a fact down and without talking, hands the
board to their partner. The partner first reads what has been written then
writes their own fact down. This continues on for a set time. If a child
does not have something to add, they still read the information and hand
back the form. After a set time period, teacher stops and gets each pair
of children to team up with another pair to compare and share their ideas.
This way all children are involved in the task and you as the teacher gain a
good idea of the level of understanding the children have.
