Change Agents
Changes in Tokelauan culture and society have had (and are still having) an effect on each of the five key people.
In your groups (Hegalo, Puka, Tolise, Falima and Ioane):
(a) Construct a Talking Head for each person. Briefly outline each person's rights, roles and responsibilities as Tokelauans.
(b) Discuss how each person's rights, roles and responsibilities have been affected by changes in Tokelauan culture and society. Ioane records the group's ideas on an A3 sheet of newsprint.
Perception Check
Tack the newsprint summaries to the board and as a class, examine ways in which the five key people's rights, roles and responsibilities have been affected by changes that have taken place in Tokelau.
(c) Back in your groups complete a Multi-Flow Map
to explain how Tokleauans' rights, roles and responsibilities have been affected by change in Tokelauan society. |
