Our Small World
Consider the options
Tokelauans face unique challenges
because of their environment and location. What are some options
Tokelauans might have to meet the challenges?
Six quotes have been taken from
the video and have an accompanying "What if?" question
attached to it.
These questions are to be discussed one to a group and findings
reported on to other groups. Students will need to think around
the questions - think creatively.
(Home and expert groups)
Divide the class into 6 groups - Home groups. One person in each
group will become an expert on a "What if?" question
and report back to the others in their home group
Divide the class into 6 new groups - Expert groups - with one person
from each home group per group. Each group is given a quote
from the video and a "What if?" question. They discuss
the quote and work on the "What if?" question to become
'experts' on that question. They will all need to make notes on
their discussion
The class returns then to home groups and each person (expert) reports
their discussion back to the others.
