Te Whetu McCorkindale, of Tuhoe, is a reporter for TVNZ's Te Karere, who enjoys diving for kaimoana and aspires to reach the summit of his occupation as a reporter in order to share his skills with his iwi.


Shane "Te Hamua" Nikora

Shane "Te Hamua" Nikora, is a TV presenter for the youth television show, Pukana. He also does radio promo's for Mai FM, and is currently recording an album of waiata Māori, featuring hip hop, RnB, and reggae styles of music.


Con Noema

Conrad Noema works for Housing New Zealand as a case manager and on the Māori committee. He is of Tuhoe descent and is dedicated to helping young people, especially Māori.

Tama Potaka, of Ngāti Hauiti, Whanganui, Ngāti Whitikaupeka, Ngāti Toarangatira, Ngāti Raukawa, and Ngāruahinerangi is a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington and Columbia University in New York city and is now an attorney.

Benesia Smith

Benesia Smith, of Ngāti Kahungunu and Ngāti Porou, is a senior analyst for the Office of the Treaty of Waitangi. She aspires to being happy and travel overseas.


Matai Smith

Matai Smith, of Rongowhakaata, Ngai Taamanuhiri, and Kahungunu, is a television presenter and producer for Pukana. He enjoys surfing the Internet, kapa haka, and singing, and one day, would like to travel overseas.


Pip Tainui

Pip Tainui works as the manager of the Kura Gallery in Wellington. She enjoys working with people and sharing his knowledge with others.


Hayden Weke

Hayden Weke, of Ngāti Konohi, is a reporter for Television New Zealand who used to sing with New Zealand band Aaria. His favourite pastime is singing and playing the guitar.
