Intervention strategies for assessment
Moreland, J., Jones, A., & Chambers, M., (2000, December). Researching and developing intervention strategies for enhancing technology teachers' assessment practices: The results of a three year study. Paper presented at NZARE, University of Waikato.
This paper reports on the research and intervention approaches undertaken by a research team when working with primary school teachers in technology education over a 3-year period (1998–2000). The focus of the research was firstly the examination of existing practice, secondly the enhancement of formative interactions, and thirdly the enhancement of summative strategies. The evidence gained over the three years has shown how effective research, development, and negotiated intervention strategies can be introduced to enhance the understanding of assessment in technology.

Enhancing student learning through enhancing teacher formative interactions
Moreland, J., Jones, A., & Chambers, M., (2001). Enhancing student learning in technology through enhancing teacher formative interactions. set: Research Information for Teachers (3), 16–19.
This paper reports on the research and intervention approaches undertaken by a research team when working with 14 primary school teachers (as well as two of the principals) in technology education over a 3-year period (1998-2000). The evidence gained over the three years has shown how effective research, development, and negotiated intervention strategies can be introduced to enhance student learning. Student gains in learning could be attributed to enhanced formative interactions and these enhanced interactions were a result of improved teacher knowledge of technology and associated pedagogies.
