Designing and selecting the card
The students worked individually to design a card in keeping with the previously developed brief. After all students had finished, the cards were evaluated together, in terms of the attributes of the brief. Modifications were suggested and further design work carried out until all the class agreed on a single design. The decision itself was a major event as the students had to refer to the attributes within the class brief and use these as an evaluative tool to help them make their judgements. A mockup of this design was produced and class confirmed suitability.
