Ed and Wiki hit the small screen!

Ed, Wiki, and Tipani have been asked to host, direct, and produce a Planet Kopu TV show called Kidz Exploring NZ. Can you help them design the set for their show?

  1. Look at some other set designs.
  2. Design a set in paint, and include:
    • a lounge area where Wiki can interview guests;
    • an area Wiki can use for studio audience activities and challenges.
    Remember, the programme is aimed at kids and has a New Zealand theme! Think carefully about props, style, and colours.
  3. Label your set by inserting the saved picture in Microsoft Word.
  4. Send your picture to tipani@tki.org.nz

Cludeo

  • What am I?
    This performance art began in Korea, and celebrated important events like rice planting. Masked actors tell the story.
  • What am I?
    This performance art began in Japan. Actors wear a special costume called a karaori, and masks called hannya, kotobide, and ko-omote.
  • What am I?
    These objects are worn at the Chinese opera, and were first worn when the theatre began more than 700 years ago. They are decorated in many different styles.
