Movie making

Ed loves movies. He would like to show some movies on wickEDtv about the four seasons. Your challenge is to make four separate films to portray each season. They need to be between 30 seconds and 1 minute long. Get a movie production team together that includes actors, a director, a producer, and a cameraperson.

1. Decide on the role for each person in the group.
2. Brainstorm what happens in each of the four seasons. How could you portray them through dialogue, movement, sound, costume, and camera angle?
3. Write a script breakdown of your films to describe the scenes for each season.
4. Plan a storyboard for each season. Look at the storyboard to see what to do.
5. Download the blank storyboard to use for your movie.
6. Rehearse before you film.
7. Film your movie.
8. Edit your movie, using video editing software. Make sure your movie is longer than 30 seconds but shorter than 1 minute long. You can add an original sound track at this stage.

Create a video of a short dance or movement sequence showing the movement of wind building from a light breeze into a full force storm and back to a light breeze.

1. Get a movie production team together that includes dancer/s, a director, a producer, and a cameraperson.

4. Decide on any props, costume and background you will need.
5. Decide on sound. Create some appropriate music, a soundscape, or use your voice for your dance.
6. Make a storyboard to plan camera angles, shot types and sound. Look at the storyboard to see what to do.
7. Download the blank storyboard to plan your movie.
8. Rehearse before you film.
9. Film your movie.
10. Edit your movie, using video editing software. Ensure your movie is between 30 seconds and 1 minute long. Extra original sound track can be added in at this time. Your facilitator or teacher can help you.
