Diwali, also known as Deepavali, or the Festival of Lights, is a five day long Hindu celebration.
Diwali in 2019 begins on the 27 October, and signifies the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and renewal of life.

VLN Primary enrolments are now open for 2020:
Te reo Māori, Digital Technologies, Gifted & Talented, Learning Languages, Arts, Science, Maths, Literacy, & Life Skills.
Online classes & projects are open to any NZ children to participate from school or home. Children can participate independently, in small groups, or with their teachers in a whole class situation.

Tokelauan Language Week is being held from Sunday 27 October – Saturday 2 November 2019.
Tokelauan Language Week provides the opportunity to introduce your students to the culture and language of Tokelau, helping to keep Gagana Tokelau alive in New Zealand.
