Bullying Free NZ Week provides an opportunity to raise awareness of bullying behaviour and promote what schools are doing to become bullying free.
This page from NZ Curriculum Online includes resources, ideas, and stories to help students, staff, parents, whānau, trustees, and communities work together to create a positive school culture and prevent bullying behaviour.
This year’s theme is ‘Whakanuia Tōu Āhua Ake! Celebrating Being Us!’ which encourages students to celebrate what makes them unique – such as talents, interests, appearance, disability, culture, race, gender, or sexuality – and encourages schools to build environments where everyone is welcome, safe, and free from bullying.

A collection of wellbeing resources developed to support the response and recovery following the 15 March incident in Christchurch is now available in one place on the Ministry of Education's website, for schools to share with their community as needed.
