He Māpuna te Tamaiti is a new resource designed for kaiako in early learning settings. It promotes proactive, intentional approaches to supporting the development of children's social and emotional competence.
An online version of the book and a self-assessment tool are now available in the self management and regulation section of Te Whāriki Online.
The book is being distributed with a set of cards for use in daily practice and during professional learning conversations. The cards are based on the appendix of He Māpuna te Tamaiti.
The material is relevant for all types of early learning services including home-based care, playgroups, and early childhood centres, as well as for junior class teachers in schools.

The updated and revised edition of Guide to Behaviour and Learning is now available on the Inclusive Education website with practical approaches to strengthen behaviours that promote learning, and minimise behaviours that disrupt and inhibit learning.
The guide illustrates how to ensure students' strengths, interests, learning needs, and preferences are considered in the design of learning environments.

A new resource for years 1-3, The Same Game, is intended to help foster the curriculum principles of diversity and inclusion.
The resource comprises a big book, audio, and teacher notes, and is intended to support students to recognise and appreciate their similarities and differences.
The book is being distributed to schools, and a PDF version, audio, and teacher notes are available on Social Sciences Online.

New resources to support the teaching and learning of the Tokelau language (gagana) as an additional language for Years 7 to 10 are being distributed to schools.
The Tokelau storybooks and teacher support materials support the Learning Languages area of The New Zealand Curriculum.
The teacher support materials can be found in the Pasifika languages section of TKI's Pasifika Education community and include activities and an English version of each story.
